Use Fashion to Gain the Power to Beat Cancer

A cancer diagnosis can often feel like a death sentence for many women. There are many things that can contribute to a cancer prognosis, such as asbestos exposure, smoking or eating the wrong foods. Being told you have skin cancer; lung cancer, mesothelioma or any other serious cancer can make it easy for you to feel helpless and to give up quickly.

However, you should never give up when you have a network of beautiful people helping you to get through your treatments. In fact, you should try to look just as beautiful as these people act by focusing on fashion. Feeling beautiful in your own skin in spite of a cancer prognosis can help you achieve a power, strength and focus you may not have believed you could have in the face of such a serious condition.

Start by building a great wardrobe that highlights who you are and what you represent. Focus on colors that look great on you as well as fashion that highlight your strong areas. If you have nice legs, wear pants that show off their beauty. Jeans are a great way to show off your legs. Avoid sweat pants and other fashion faux paus, as these never look very good.

Build each outfit in your wardrobe around your strong areas. If you decide on jeans, try to choose shirts and accessories that go well with your jeans. Pick a series of colorful and beautiful shirts that highlight your skin tone, hair color and go well with your jean colors. Make sure to pick jewelry that looks great on you as well as accentuating your wardrobe.

Balance your wardrobe between formal outfits and casual outfits. This gives you the diversity to look great in any situation. Include hats into your outfit to look cute but don't wear hats just to hide hair loss. Hiding your loss reveals shame that you shouldn't feel about your condition. Keeping strong and gaining power through fashion requires showing off your strength with your fashion, not your weakness.

Slowly, you may find that you feel more confident. Your posture may improve and your self-esteem may grow. This is because you feel beautiful and are gaining the power and confidence to overcome your condition. Hold your head high and dress beautifully every day to stay focused on something besides your condition.

Focusing on something besides your condition is how you gain your strength. You are letting the world know that you won't be beaten down by cancer and that you are strong and beautiful. Use this knowledge, this power and this strength during the rough patches in your treatment. You may find you feel beautiful even during your cancer treatments.

I firstly want to thank Jackie for this guest post and hope that anyone out there who might have a form of Cancer and just happens to stumble across my blog feels that this post may help them in some way.

Sometimes I actually like not having any hair extensions in and have my hair up. I especially like to have my hair in a sort of sixties inspired style which is the Beehive look teamed with a nice headscarf....

An up do is always an easy style to do in the mornings, using a few bobby pins and some hair spray and voila! What do you think?

Dear 16 year old me: Melanoma Cancer

Hi All!

This is a more serious post for you all, something that has been playing on my mind a lot recently and that is the subject of how precious life is. Firstly, don't get me wrong I have always known that life is precious, but we always that a bit more notice when someone close to us takes ill. For me I took more notice when I worked at the Funeral Directors two years ago. What was it for you?

I do think that people find that it can affect all of us at one point in our lives and we do often then not get affected either by sudden death or by a illness. One of the most common illnesses I want to discuss is Cancer.

As you might already be aware Richard's dad was diagnosed with lung cancer last year which I briefly mentioned here. Since then Richard did a sponsored run for Cancer Research and raised an amazing £300+. His dad, John has also since recovered and well on his way to receiving 'the all clear' which are the words we have been hoping for throughout this time.

Now onto the reason for this post; I believe there are so many people out there that adore using sunbeds or sunbathing or just leaving their homes in the heat and not using SPF sun cream. We need to protect our skin from skin cancer at all times. Please watch this video......

After watching this it really made me think, I do not use sun beds but I do sunbathe all the time during holidays and warmer UK summers. I do use SPF sun cream for sun bathing but not for daily use... I will start doing this after watching this video. Please do the same.

Any thoughts and comments are welcome.

Social Networking: Weekly Blogger Chat

So how many of my fellow bloggers and readers are on Twitter? First things first if you use Twiter then please follow me @Doma_Nikki and make sure you tweet me and let me know so I can follow you in return.

Secondly are you aware of the weekly bloggers chat that is held every Sunday night? Basically the lovely Nykki over at Nykki's Mane Blog created the idea of bloggers all around the world meeting via Twitter and discussing different blog related topics each week by using the hastag #bbloggers. I think it's a great idea to discuss issues, network and make new pals!

I attended last night for example and the topic was regarding the rumour of Google removing GFC, so basically all bloggers who don't use blogger.com/blogspot will be unable to follow blogs via this method. Therefore these bloggers/readers will need to keep up to date with blogs through Google+ or Bloglovin.

There are always some great topics and if you have any ideas for new topics you can email them across to Nykki and then all week bloggers choose to vote out of a few options. If you need more info then just click here

Outfit of the Day: Winter Warmer

Hi All!!

We all have those days when we want to be fashionable but don't always have the energy to source out items for that 'perfect outfit' before work and these are those days where more then not I will throw on just about anything slouchy with a pair of leggings. During the winter this will always be either a bit of layering with a long cardigan or a big jumper. Check out this recent image.....

This Jumper was exchanged from those cranberry leggings I bought from Internacionale which you will have seen in this video post I decided to take them back as they were not long enough. It's actually a size 16 but I love oversize knitwear, don't you agree?

Bedroom Inspiration

Hi All!!

I have decided that over the next few weeks I will be revamping my bedroom because it really needs it! It's a complete tip at the moment with clothes and junk everywhere and im not impressed with myself! Since I have some free time this weekend im going to start a completely new look to everything and have been looking for inspiration everywhere.

I think for the moment I would either like a Turquoise or a Purple theme to my room, I haven't quite decided yet but these are some inspirational images I have seen for themes...

Rant: The rules of wearing leggings

Hi All!!

I rarely do a post dedicated to a full rant, but sometimes I just have to! My last full rant around make up or fashion was a while ago based around false advertising so give me some credit.

Now the majority of us love wearing leggings; a staple item in our wardrobes. We can wear leggings with almost anything and in almost anyway possible. Having said this please be aware of the key word 'almost'!! Sometimes we have to remember that leggings although comfortable and easy to wear, they can be unflattering for some. We must also remember that there are certain rules if you like that we must remember when wearing leggings.

There are many things this female is doing wrong, and although when I first saw this photo my initial reaction was to laugh after a while I started to think she is not the only culprit of this fashion disaster. I do not however feel sorry for this girl, if your opinion of me changes because I posted this photo firstly it is not to humiliate this girl, she did this herself by stepping out her house dressed like this. There are so many females around who do just the same thing and do not understand the importance of how to wear leggings correctly, especially thin leggings.

Please read my view on the following of how I believe leggings should be worn:

♥ Thickness
Leggings come in different thickness depending on where you purchase them just like tights. Always stretch a pair of leggings over your hand to see if your skin/hand is visible from the other side, this way you know what can be seen when wearing them. Remember how a pair of leggings look on and off are completely different depending on your size. The thinner the leggings the more skin and underwear can be seen to a passer by.

♥ Always cover your bum
If you choose to wear thin leggings always always always cover your bum there are no if, buts or maybes on this topic it just has to be done. We do not want to see your underwear hence the above photo. If however you are wearing a bralet or crop top for instance on a night out make sure your leggings are of the thick style. I personally believe you can wear thick leggings without covering your bum, pureply because your underwear will not be on show.

♥ Colours
If you choose to wear black leggings then try and wear black knickers underneath, again we can see your fuschi pink french knickers and we really don't want to. If you argue this point see the above photo again!! I wont go into personal hygiene for 'that time of the month' it is all personal preference but use this photo as a reference of the possibilities!

So there we have it my own rant on this topic! I see this more and more as each day passes and it won't ever change as some people seem just don't understand.

The current trend around at the moment is Gold! Whether you are wearing a key piece in entire gold such as a dress or speckles of the midas touch as your accessories you will be sure to stand out and glow amongst others.

Teaming gold with the biker trend by adding biker boots, studs and spikes will give your outfit a real edge. Alternatively if you team a key piece with the Romantic trend by adding cream blouses or dresses and over the knee socks will soften the look.

Belated Merry Christmas

Hi All!!

I am almost a weeek late with this post but better late then never I guess? I hope you all had a very Merry Christmas this year and are enjoying the holidays whilst we still have some more of it left! Christmas 2011 has been amazing for me, it could not have gone any better! Not only did I get to be merry, have fun, relax and eat until I thought I would burst but I have been very VERY spoilt! Trust me, there is a video post on it's way next week to show and tell of all the goodies I received this year so watch out for that.

I am still without a camera so you will have to stick with me until I find the lead for my old digital camera or until I purchase a new one. For now here is what I wore on Christmas Eve....

I didn't wear the antlers all night I might add but hey when it's Christmas who cares! Unfortunately my family received some sad news Christmas morning of the sad passing of my great aunt in Jamaica. Understandably the family were quite upset, especially my grandad who was her sibling. My family is strong so we will be fine!

So again, sorry for the lack of posting, i'm having a bit of a break enjoying being lazy in the holiday season but I will be back in full force in the new year!

Christmas Dresses on a Budget

Review: Feather Punks

It's Purpose:
Handmade feather extensions that are clipped into your hair for decoration. This is what the website reads...

Each hair feather ranges from 2" to 14" in length and commonly come from the rooster all feathers are real unless stated otherwise.

The hair feathers can be treated similar to your own hair and can washed, dried, straightened and curled (on a low heat)

They are attached with a silicone lined micro bead which does no damage to your hair and can last up to 4 months if looked after correctly and maintained on a regular basis (every 4-6 weeks).

The feather itself can be refitted time and time again dependant on its condition, if the feathers fall out for any reason keep them flat and come back and we'll refit them for a reduced price :)

Hair feathers are suitable for all sizes of PUNKS, adults, Kids and Dogs !

My Opinion:
Having been sent this to review I was very eager to let you all know about this product. You may have noticed I am a big fan of things in my hair such as headbands and flowers. I have also worn a feather headband also and I was really interested in this product as I have seen them around.

I wore it to the Clothes Show Live and actually got a couple of people tell me they thought it was pretty and really went well with my outfit. I requested the colour theme which is an available option. The clip itself is very easy to use and really small, if you wear clip in extensions you will be familiar with the style of clips used. Not only do Feather Punks sell these feathers but they also do punk strands which is like having strands of tinsel in your hair. Great items to spice up your hair and def thumbs up!!

Outfit of the Day: Clothes Show Live Attire

I went to the Clothes Show Live yesterday with my girlies Stef and Heidi and we enjoyed it so much! Considering I wasn't planing to go this year I had such a brilliant time.

For those of you who don't know much about it The Clothes Show is an annual event that takes place in Birmingham where thousands and thousands of people go to show at the NEC. The event always has a magical catwalk show with models and dancers - this year The Risk and Kimberley Wyatt (Pussycat Dolls) performed there too.

This is the wooly hat I will be rocking for the majority of Winter! Last year I wore my red beret quite a lot and now this year I decided to go for a cream one. I am in search for a leopard print one too, what do you think?

I love working with Neal, he is so talented and fun to work with. We have previously worked together before so I knew I would gain some great images for my portfolio. Yesterday I changed my nail colour to a nude shade purely because I had a photoshoot booked and it wouldn't have been ideal to have those Christmas themed nails that I showed you all here. I prefer to have nails that stand out but it's aso nice to have something simple and calming every now and then....

The Christmas part season is almost amongst us, I think I will be posting a few inspirational outfits as the weeks go by. You never know you may just see something that might perfect your very own party outfit.

The first outfit is something I would wear as we all know I love sparkly things.....

If you remember earlier this year I did a video post on my YouTube channel to show you all what my hair looks like without wearing any hair extensions; I also did a blog post here. Well today I have posted another video for you to see the progress of my hair journey so far, check it out...

Firstly I wanted to say what might work for me may or may not work for others. This is purely from my own experience with using these products.

I like how in the comparison photos you can see the difference in texture, my hair looks healthier and you can see a slight difference in length.

Outfit of the Night: Tailored Red

Hi All!!

Here is a recent outfit I wore on a night out, I wanted to try something different to what I usually wear on a night out. Just so you know I am really really really into bow-ties at the moment, i'm not sure where this new found love has come from but it's here and I think it's going to stay for a while. I have even recently worn my boyfriends black bow tie but have now purchased a nice little silver one for myself just so he doesn't get fed up of me wearing his haha.

This outfit is an example of the Tailoring trend that I blogged about here earlier this month. I love masculine tailoring and I thought I would do my own little feminie touch to the style....

Sorry this isn't that clear of a photo, my camera has been playing up quite a lot recently, I dread to say it but I think I need a new one... again.....

Hi All!!

I thought I would show you some images I took today....

I love Autumn, I love the way the leaves change colour and I think these are some great images of the farm life at the moment. The house is always so cosy with that fireplace, thats my step-sisters kitty 'Tumble Tots' and of all the things to photograph; the oven but it constantly radiates heat and keeps the kitchen warm! I love it! Not forgetting Poppy the working dog, she's so cute and loves to go on walks around the farm :)

Last night I went to my friends 21st Birthday party and the theme was 'Masquerade' you might remember I did a post about which mask to choose here well I didn't choose any of those masks!

Here is what I wore.....

I went for this, soon as I saw it I knew I had to buy it as it was so original, I have never seen a mask like this before. I teamed it up with the feather slide I had seen in Primark which was a bargain for only £1!!!

I was also talking to Kayleigh who attended the party and thought I had to post her outfit too...

So this year BBC Children in Need have teamed up with Debenhams, to challenge five celebrities to design a clothing collection all to raise money for a great cause! The celebs are as follows; Alexandra Burke, Tamara Ecclestone, Patsy Kensit, Chipmunk and Kevin Pietersen!! These guys will unveil statement styles in a new limited edition collection for Debenhams in aid of BBC Children in Need.

The collection will be assessed by the design and buying teams, with the best pieces being chosen to go on sale in branches of Debenhams across the UK and online, all to raise money for this year’s BBC Children in Need campaign.

Celebrity Style: Amber Rose

Hi All!!

If you haven't heard of this women yet I am not too sure where you have been? I have only really been noticing Amber Rose' style in recent months but have been well aware of her presence on the hip hop scene since she first stepped out as the girlfriend of Kanye West. At present she is dating Wiz Khalifa- but my post is not about her personal love interests, it is about her personal STYLE!

Being a curvy girl myself who adores all things tight I love what she steps out in on the red carpet and on her nights out. And lets not forget her platinum blonde shaved head, how many people can pull that look off? A very small number I think! Although I am not really a fan of people who wear sunglasses indoors, I find it quite pretentious in ways but she has made striking shades apart of her statement look.

I think it is refreshing when a women embraces her curves and isn't afraid to make a statement via her outfit.

I am a big fan of this seasons trend which is mastering the masculine look and making it feminine. If you aren't already rockin' at least one item from this trend I would be very shocked as there is so much to choose from. The best thing about this is trend is if you are a girly girl then you can bling up braces, blazers and brogues to give the overall look a feminine touch.

Outfit of the Nights: The boots are back

Hi All!!

Let me just start off by sayingonce again how much I hate the winter weather!!! I really really can't stand being cold :( Having said that, I do like wearing knitwear and I adore the Christmas Season but the coldness just hurts my feelings haha!

Well the colder weather has given me a good reason to get some old winter clothes out and amongst these were my Leopard print thigh highs...

Boots = Office

I am looking forward to getting my Christian Dior Moonboots out next, but that won't be until extreme conditions hit us!

How I got my hair wavy without using heat

Hi All!!

I wanted to show you the easiest way for me to get wavy hair without using heating products such as straightners etc and this is by using twist rollers or flexi-rods whichever term you prefer. You can buy these from almost any store such as Boots or a hair shop but I actually bought mine from the £1 shop! I got a pack of 6 rollers but I am planning on purchasing some more as that really isn't enough.

Right so if you have never used these rollers before all you need to do is twist your hair into the rollers, once all hair is twisted use some hair spray to set it and leave you hair protected for a while for it to work.....

I left mine in for about 2 hours, so not very long to make my hair curly but enough to gain some beach waves. If you want more wavy/curly hair then it is probably best to put these rollers in before you go to bed and sleep in them. But this time I just waited a couple of hours for it to take effect before the start of my day.....

Once I took them out this is how my hair looked.....

Considering my hair was bone straight when I put the rollers in there is a difference and I will re-edit this post with a before photo so you can see the difference....

This is one of my first attempts at using the rollers and I will be buying some more and also leaving the hair in for much longer so look out for a post of that! I think it's also really great that there are ways of getting some hairstyles without using heat all the time. Gives my hair a nice break from the damage straigtners can do sometimes.

I have been invited to a friends 21st Birthday Party next month which I am really excited for as it will be a Masquerade theme. I actually had the same theme from my own 21st birthday so it will bring back memories for me!

However I have a problem, I don't know which mask to order?!! Firstly this is what I will be wearing, the sparkly heels my colleague's gave me a voucher for.....

New Aqua dress I purchased in the 80% off sale....

So I kinda what a silver mask to match the heels and I really don't mind if it's on a stick or has to be tied around my head. These are my options...

I went out last night to a night called Spin in Sutton Coldfield and really enjoyed myself. Although not a late night; because I can't seem to do these much often anymore! I did feel as though I was in an episode of The Only Way is Essex haha, the venue was really nice and everyone was so well dressed sort of similar to the show? Also there was a bit of drama which lets face it if your a fan of the show you know shiz is about to go down nearly every episode!!

Cancer Research UK: Help sponsor Richard!

Just a serious post guys, my boyfriend Richard, is doing a sponsored run for Cancer Research this month at the Major Series. I would really really really appreciate it if you could find it in your heart to sponsor him from as little as £2?! Richard's father, John has recently been diagnosed with Lung cancer so this is a cause close to our hearts!

I won't blab on about it as to be honest I am never quite sure what to say of these topics. All I can say is he is being treated, the cancer seems to be shrinking due to treatment he is receiving which is the best news we have received. Hi All!!

If you have been a follower of my blog for a few years then you may remember that I used to work for Boots and I worked there for seven years and enjoyed it very much! I don't miss the job but I certainly miss the people I worked with and of course the discount so much!! But since leaving almost a year ago I have worked out where to get the same items at a cheaper price. I do shop in Boots still but I will only buy something at their prices if I really have to just so I can get my Boots Advantage Points. Because lets face it, it really is the best points card on the high street.

But I have been buying more products from Superdrug lately and I wanted to let you all know about the current offer on the L'Oreal products where selected items are currently £3 off! I adore the Voluminous mascara which usually costs £8.49 but at the moment they are only £5.49

So me being me the bargain lover I am decided to snap up two mascara's! If you are a fan of L'Oreal then get down to Superdrug now and get yourself some treats!!

A late posting and the reason why...

Hi All!!!

This post is very late for me to be posting as this photo was actually taken about a month or so ago?! Basically there is a story behind why this photo has not been posted sooner and to be honest it reminds me of a very horrific night. For those of you who don't know me personally or follow me on twitter I was assaulted by a guy the same night this photo was taken.

Long story short two guys started on my boyfriend and one of them turned onto me. Fortunatley they were both arrested and cautioned by the police, unfortunately my boyfriend was too. I chose not to press chargers any further on this man, or should I say boy, as the whole case would have had to go to court and with my boyfriend attempting to get into the army a court case with fighting wouldn't go down well. I know sods law!!

But I am ok and luckily for me I received no visible bruises etc but the hurt actually lay within. You know me guys I never post stuff like this but as it is my blog and I have been speaking to many of you for years now I am sure you will all understand.

But here is a look I wanted to show you all and now I am not angry anymore of the memory this photo or any others of that night bring me....

I always see bloggers using this site to create different styles and so I am going to start using this too. For every birthday in the office at work my colleagues and I always put money towards purchasing a gift for the birthday girl/boy. As it was my turn to have a birthday they all put together and got me a voucher for Schuh so that I was able to buy the above heels which I had been lusting after for months! They also got my cupcakes rather then a big birthday cake and a birthday card!

Hi All!!

I noticed a new online store called Ellos and I thought I would do a little review of their website for your attention. So I checked it out and I do believe some of you may be interested in some of the items available to purchase. Firstly if you are not familiar with the brand; Ellos is a Swedish on line catalogue store specialising in Scandinavian fashion which consists of "natural and simple designs, mixing layers of fabrics with thrills and stylish prints."

The first thing that impressed me were the Autumn/Winter 2011 trends that the website has chosen to display on the homepage. A couple of the oufits on there I would love to recreate myself and probably will this season, fab inspiration!

If you know me well you would know I had to take a look at the dresses for ladies section and there are a few items I would wear myself and you can take a peek at them here....

Overall I would say this website has something for everyone and is quite an on trend catalogue website. If you are interested in seeing more then head on over there you might find something nice! Also if you don't live in the UK they do ship to France, Russia, Norway, Finland and Denmark; so no excuses!! I hope you find something that suits you!

Over in Spain me and Richard had these photos taken, not very good quality but a nice little souvenir I think...

I keep saying I want to do a proper professional photoshoot with an amazing photographer so I can have a nice canvas on the wall but he refuses. At least, in my eyes, this was kinda the first step to having it done.

Just need to get him on board with a fun shoot! We all know i'm comfortable being in front of the camera but Richard really isn't unless it's a drunk action shot but I reckon he works the camera well and looks pretty damn fine! Haha!

Hi All!!

So i'm back off my jollies and I definately have the holiday blues! Oh well at least I got to go on holiday this year I guess! I had a brilliant time and have some photos of my break in Spain that I will try and upload tonight or tomorrow.

Anyways as I have returned to crappy typical English weather my eyes are now set on my favourite season of the year which is Autumn.. don't get me wrong I love love love Summer but there is just something about the change in Season that I love. I have seen some pretty fab items I want to own for the upcoming colder weather and one in particular has to be the Aztec style Poncho or Blanket Cardigan. I first spotted these is Primark before I went abroad. I spotted them last year also but there wasn't a design that I REALLY liked until I took a look online.

Available from most high street stores but I have sourced these from Google....

I will definately be purchasing one of these!

Richard's Graduation Party and Outfit of the Night

Hi All!

I am finally able to do a post about Richard's Graduation party that I organised last weekend. If you remember reading here the party was my gift to Richard as a congratulations on passing his degree with a 2:1 result!

Let me tell you if you have never organised a proper party it is HARD work and I did it all by myself the decorations, the food etc! Bryony helped me with the entertainment which was lovely of her; we should go into the party planning business! Everyone enjoyed it which was fabulous, means I did a good job!!

Missing in Action Update

Hi All!

I hope you are all doing well? As you may have noticed I am STILL without a laptop so I am trying to post when I can from Richard's PC. It's a load of crap because I miss blogging as much as I used to and I feel like im neglecting my readers.

However luckily for me I have been able to claim some tax back off the tax man; I have overpaid tax the last five years and in return will be gaining a HUGE amount back. I won't put it here exactly how much but it is a serious amount.

This means that I can purchase a new laptop ahead of my 25th birthday so I can get back to what I love doing. I can finally sort myself a decent savings account too which i've been wanting to do for a long while.

Finally I will be treating myself to something for me, maybe a pair of really out there heels or a designer bag? Who know's but I won't go crazy!

Hi All!!

I have been a big fan of Aqua Couture ever since I spotted my perfect birthday dress last year which you might remember by this photo.....

Ever since then I have loved every design that Aqua have created be it a dress, jumpsuit or top. I just wish I could afford to stock up my wardrobe with more then one dress!! The website has recently been revamped and a new selection of items uploaded over the past few months but the brand is also available to purchase on Asos.com.

I love the structure of each dress made, so out there and original. I do believe that some items are more suitable for special occasions rather then just your typical night out up town. However there are some more 'simple' designs suitable for a random night out. If you've been reading my blog long enough you should know which style I prefer!

The Rockettes have a new website!!!

Hi All!!

I have finally sorted out The Rockettes new website if you are interested in taking a peek at it just click here!!!

I think it looks so much better then our old one considering I created it right from scratch and we just need to sort out our domain now.

Incase you didn't know this is the girl group I sing with and we cover the West Midlands and beyond given the opportunity. We sing the hits from the fabulous Tamla Motown era and also hits from the 40's right through to the 80's! We have spaces for gigs if anyone knows any pubs/clubs/private functions looking for a 'party band' so send myself an email or contact us through our Rockettes email which is located on our website.

There are some live video recordings on out site also; silly of Richard but you can hear him having a laugh and joke about us in our Burlesque perfomance haha! Nevermind eh :)

As you all know the sad news of singer Amy Winehouse passing shocked the world this weekend.

It is such sad news, in all honesty I can not say I am really surprised as she was a troubled soul. But still you don't want to actually have something like this become reality. It seems to be a controversial topic and I have read very many shocking and heartless comments regarding the singers death. If she passed due to an overdose etc then it is tragic but she was not a bad person.

If you haven't already noticed not only are people going crazy over fabulous and wacky designs for their nails but the craze has now moved onto another part of the body; the lips!! I have recently noticed this trend and seen it in a few magazines and also on youtube.

I know it gets mixed views from people but personally I love the idea, have a look...

Hi All!!

Last night me and my mother attended a Women 4 Business event at Birminghams Harvey Nichols. It was a fun night filled with champagne, nibbles and beauty demonstrations that we both enjoyed! As my mom is now an independent/freelance skincare consultant and make up artist she is a member of the Women 4 Business company and invited me along with her to the event.

I hadn't been to Harvey Nichols for a very long time, i've always adored the items they sell there. Just like Selfridges; Harvey Nichols sells designer brands in stylish layout stores.

I wanted to show you some photos of the items currently available to purchase there because oh me oh my, I felt like I was in heaven! I will definately be doing the Euro Millions tonight... I would love to be able to afford some of these beautys.....

There was also a raffle for the chance to win a Harvey Nichols goody bag and guess who won? Yup ME!!! How cool is that, I've never won from a raffle before and as you do I went bright red when my name was called.
